Ceremonies Self-Study Course
A self-study
course on Ceremonies was developed for those who are not able to take
the class in person. The course uses the videotape "Milestones
to Memories." If you are interested in this self-study, you
can check out the kit from
your volunteer coordinator, complete the guide,
evaluation, etc. and return them and the kit to the volunteer coordinator. She
will then give you credit for the course. All the reference
materials are contained in the kit. There is a charge for the
kit if it is not returned in good condition.
Age Level Training
Required along with Girl Scout Leadership for at least one leader of each troop within their first troop year
Program information and suggestions are provided in a course for each age level of Girl Scouting, Daisy through Senior. The program will acquaint you with handbooks, recognitions, and programs available, as well as give helpful hints about the characteristics of girls by age levels. Participants will get to explore how to plan trips and look at samples of activities from badge programs and Contemporary Issues. Leaders also learn how to help girls explore their individual interests, set troop goals, work to meet goals and earn awards. Home Studies Courses are available for Daisy through Junior level.
