Forever Green E-Waste Recycling Event

Forever Green Community Action Project - Capstone Event

On May 15, 2010 Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana will join forces with GES to address the issue of recycling electronic waste or e-waste. We will be collecting inkjet cartridges, laser toner cartridges, cell phones, old computers, keyboards, radios, fax machines, hard drives, modems, printers, copiers, DVD players, VCR players, TVs , monitors and more.  This includes any electronic equipment, but not appliances. 

A good rule thumb is if you can put water in it, it will not be accepted, such as refrigerators, irons, bread makers, etc.  GES recycles 100% of its electronic waste and none of it is shipped overseas to third world countries.

There is a $5 charge on the recycling of TVs and monitors with glass a front, (not flat screens). This charge is for the cost of discharging a gas contained in these items.

E-waste drop off locations will be in each of the five GSK service centers:
