Of course, we think you can still have the best experience by participating in an age-level training so as to network with other volunteers. However, these Home Studies will be great for those who enjoy using time at home to learn about Girl Scouting or who cannot easily make scheduled classes. The Home Studies option is a great way to insure that you’ll learn about most everything that will help you offer a better experience to your girls.

Volunteers must have already taken Orientation before participating in a Home Study. Girl Scout Leadership must be taken prior to Age Level training. To help insure that leaders experience many of the resources, volunteer coordinators have a kit of materials that can be checked out to use with your Home Study. However, if volunteers already have access to these materials, they can download the Home Study and work on it anytime. The Home Studies can be printed out for completion or they can be filled out on home computers and emailed your service center’s volunteer coordinator. If you have any questions, call the local service center and talk to the volunteer coordinator.
